BwA organized yesterday, October 18, a boutique Antonutti wine dinner with twenty limited VIP seats at Mercato, by Jean Georges, in Shanghai city. This Italian spot is Jean Georges’ latest venture in Shanghai. The main concept of Mercato is offer delicious coastal Italian cuisine, where the seafood, homemade pastas and wood-fired pizzas occupy a main role, making Mercato the perfect place to host a Italian boutique wine dinner. The cosy environment with a breath taking view over the Bund helped to set the perfect scenario for this wine dinner. Sandy Yoon was the Cuisine Chef, preparing the fantastic food that was paired with five Antonutti wines.
The guests were welcomed with a glass of ANT Metodo Classico 2008, a sparkling with an elegant and complex fruity bouquet. The menu was composed by several delicious dishes. A starter with sea inspiration made the delicious of all the guests, and it was composed by a Kingfish Carpaccio with Seafood Salad that was paired with a great Pinot Grigio 2011. The starter was followed by thinly sliced Diver Scallops and char-grilled Octopus, tasted with a Vis Terrae Traminer Aromatico 2009. This boutique dinner wound´t have a true Italian mood without a homemade pasta, specially a Rigatoni with Braised Meatballs that was served with the Refosco 2010. The meat dish was composed by a grilled Beef Tenderloin, that was served with a Vis Terrae Cabernet Sauvignon “Magnum” bottle, 2008 and 2009 vintages. A special moment was prepared for the end of the dinner – guests were surprised with a special dessert wine specially bought to this dinner by Nicola Durandi Antonutti himself. Lindul “60 days Appasimento” 2010- which bottle has a special Italian illustration – was truly enjoyed by all the guests, with a special taste and aroma of the Traminer Aromatico grape variety.
The dinner had a great mood and all the guests truly enjoyed the food offered by the Cuisine Chef Sandy Yoon, paired with the five boutique wines from Antonutti, plus the welcome drink ANT Metodo Classico 2008 for the twenty VIP guests welcoming.
Antonutti vineyards are located in Grave del Friuli in Italy, with a broad dry plain and poor stony soils ideal for vines. Back in 1921, grandfather Ignazio found the Antonutti Winery, starting the Friulian winemaking process. The foresight of his son gave way to a significant grow in the production, that was furthered and renewed continuously today by his daughter Adriana, her husband Lino and their children, Caterina and Nicola, that was present in this Wine Dinner. The wines demonstrate the strength of the territory, Friuli, and testify to the tenacity of a family history that dates back almost a century.

10月18日，昨天BWA与20席VIP客户一起由Jean Georges打理的Mercato 餐厅共进了一顿丰盛的安东努蒂之夜红酒晚宴。这个意大利餐厅是Jean Georges在上海的最新据点。Mercato的主要理念就是提供美味的意大利沿海美食，海鲜、 自制意大利面和比萨饼这些主题菜肴，使 Mercato成为一个享用意大利精品葡萄酒与美食晚宴的不二场地。新鲜的露天场地加上外滩的迷人夜景，这是一场无与伦比的葡萄酒晚宴！Sandy Yoon是当晚的主厨，由他亲自准备了 五道与 Antonutti葡萄酒绝佳搭配的美妙佳肴。
ANT Metodo Classico 2008 作为开胃酒拉开了迎接当晚嘉宾们的序幕。跳动的气泡夹带着优雅而复杂的果味花香扑鼻而来。当日菜谱赫然写着好几道美食。开胃菜以皇帝鱼刺身，意大利碎橄榄和莳萝搭配上Pinot Grigio 2011带给所有客人来自大海的灵感。随其而来的第二道美食以海鲜沙拉，牛油果，柠檬和荷兰芹搭配Traminer Aromatico 2009 。一场正宗的意大利晚餐怎能少了自制的意大利面，特制肉丸头？再搭配上Refosco 2010 ，那便是再美不过的味觉体验。紧接着而来的主菜炙烤里脊搭配上Vis Terrae Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 和2009。临近结束时，一个特殊的小插曲给宾客们带来了一阵小惊喜— —由Nicola Durandi Antonutti亲自带来的一款甜品酒Lindul “60 days Appasimento” 2010 将所有客人的品尝乐趣带至了一个甜美的高潮。每一位都品味到这款 由Traminer Aromatico 葡萄品种的所带来的特别香气和口感体验。
